It gives Goodhealth's policyholders password-protected access to medical information around the world, including:
"This is a major development in our strategy of offering local support to all our policyholders," says Stuart Leatherby, Technical and Underwriting Director of Goodhealth. "The new web tools provide customers with exclusive access to a mass of easily obtainable information which could be vital when making a claim, finding local medical facilities or requiring a medical decision. The databank will also support our local branches in providing up-to-date, relevant information at all times." Frank Gillingham M.D., medical director of HTH Worldwide said, "Our company has established a reputation in the US by helping clients gain convenient access to quality healthcare services around the globe through advanced internet applications. HTH Worldwide's databases are the most comprehensive and easy way to find qualified physicians and hospitals outside of the USA, and we are delighted that Goodhealth's customers will now have access to this information. They will also benefit from proprietary databases of drug and medical phrase translations and security alerts in hundreds of locations around the globe." Goodhealth also believes that the database will assist in their drive towards to expand their 'cashless' claims settlement facility, where a guarantee of payment from Goodhealth to the hospital means that in-patient treatment is settled directly. "Direct settlement works much more effectively when the hospital is part of an agreed provider network or, in this case, contracted by HTH," explains Stuart Leatherby. "We are confident that the database will play its part in helping us to give customers an even more professional and hassle-free service."
